Fire Stopper

Carrying out Fire Stopping works to riser cupboards, above cross corridor doors, ceiling lines and loft spaces within occupied social housing blocks, schools and public building, our fire stoppers will be required to deliver works to high standards, agreed specifications and standard details.

Working within strict standards of quality, cleanliness and overall process compliance, have significant experience of fire stopping works and be fully trained in effective site safety and asbestos awareness.

It is preferable for candidates to also have experience processing works orders and quality control documentation requests through use of tablet computers

Key Responsibilities within this role will be:

  • Installation of fire batt, mastic, and intumescent product, to manufacturers guidelines.
  • Always adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Working closely with labouring team

Contract Administrator

Within this role you will have responsibility for the coordination, document and process management function of multiple passive fire protection projects delivered across a wide geographical area and within a range of occupied buildings including social housing blocks, education establishments, offices and district healthcare trusts.

 

Key Responsibilities within this role will be:

  • Reporting to the Client Service Manager
  • Process project documentation
  • Maintain compliance with agreed workflows administered through the Company’s CAFM system
  • Co-ordinate requests for information and provide reports to the Project Team as necessary
  • Liaise with client groups to ensure the timely production of performance data and key operational statistics
  • Assist in the preparation of instructions for the organisation and methods necessary to ensure compliance with Company Policies.
  • Ensure approved and finalised documents are issued at Practical Completion
  • Provide training, technical and procedural support to project teams and client groups in the use of company systems

Resident Liaison Officer

Based at the site accommodation located around the Northwest Region, the Resident Liaison Officer will work as part of a project team tasked with completing fire protection works within multiple occupied housing blocks.

In conjunction with a predetermined programme of works, the Resident Liaison Officer will follow a predetermined access protocol that combines a need to distribute formal written communications with face-to-face discussions with customers in their homes. Part of this process will include a need to explain what our works entail and where necessary help customers prepare for the works. In addition, the Resident Liaison Officer will document a record of existing property condition in mitigation of future claims, record key measurements, visit customers during the works and ensure documented end of day checks are completed before leaving site each day.

Experienced working within multicultural neighbourhoods whilst accommodating the needs of vulnerable groups, the Resident Liaison Officer will fulfil a key role within the project team ensuring all access attempts are recorded on the Company’s CAFM system and that through the effective management of customer expectations, minimal inconvenience is caused.

Effective dealing with multiple iterations of a planning process, the Resident Liaison Officer will work within a small team of site managers, engineers, Contract Coordinators, and client representatives undertaking a key role to facilitate an efficient works programme in a manner that achieves positive feedback and high customer satisfaction ratings.

The role will suit:

Motivated team players with good organisation skills, past experience of survey work that are happy to work using their own using initiative and meet predetermined targets.

Essential skills:

  • Clean driving licence
  • Good understanding of tablet-based applications, Microsoft Excel & Outlook
  • Effective customer care skills
  • Ability to tailor your approach to dealings and communications with diverse stakeholder groups, clients, customers and building users.

Remuneration:

This is a grade 5 role with the following benefits:

  • Salary Range £20,000 to £28,000 / annum (dependant on experience)

  • 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon to Thurs)
  • 08:00 - 15:30 (Fridays)
  • Fully expensed company van

Job Description: Technical Services Manager
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Technical Services Manager will be responsible for a programme of surveillance where you will inspect, monitor, and report compliance of Company’s operations against standards prescribed by FIRAS and LPCB third party installation schemes.
Using your experience and knowledge of passive fire protection you will be required to research solutions in support of site-based operations, working with suppliers, and clients to provide advice and recommendations to overcome engineering difficulties.
Additionally, and when working closely with other departments and key members of staff, you will organise and deliver training for new recruits using your knowledge to assess and document ongoing understanding and competence.
In conjunction with organisations including FIRAS and the ASFP, you will also plan and maintain a programme of professional development training ensuring the knowledge of technical based staff remains current and reflective of operational needs.
Your role provides flexibility for you to plan your working week where subject to any predetermined activities and any logistical constraints you will spend your time working efficiently between operational sites, the Company’s offices, and your home address.

The successful applicant will be:

• Understanding and appreciative of requirements set out within third party accreditation schemes, ideally FIRAS and LPCB
• Understanding of Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order: 2005, and Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England and Wales)
• A diligent and objective team player with an ability to research
• An effective communicator at all levels with close attention to detail when preparing and documenting reports.
• Confident and able to lead by example, willing to delegate whilst support the ongoing development of others

Remuneration:

This is a grade 8b role with the following benefits:

    • Salary Range £48,000 to £52,000 / annum (dependant on experience)
      • Fully expensed Company Car or Car allowance of £7,200 / annum
      • Pension Scheme – Contribution Rates 3% Er’s & 5% Ee’s
    • Hours of work:
      • o 07:30 - 17:30 (Mon to Thurs) 07:30 - 16:30 (Fridays)
  • Holidays 21 days holiday per annum (including 8 statutory holiday days) rising by 1 day for each year of service after the first year of service up to a maximum 25 days / annum
