Job Description:

  • Undertaking firestopping work on residential care homes, educational and commercial properties
  • Installation of fire batt, mastic and intumescent products, to manufacturers guidelines
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times
  • Working closely with labouring team

Responsibilities

  • CPCS card (Blue preferred)

  • At least 3 years’ site experience

Overview:

Hourly Salary: £12.50 to £14

Weekly Hours: 40 per week

Based at our Leeds Office, the main focus of the role is to support the commercial and operational team to value works undertaken on a variety of projects, for various clients for Fire Preventative works.

Your duties will include:

  • Interpreting surveys carried out by the surveying team, through evaluation of photos and comments, and populate the Neo Fire Calculator accordingly
  • Populate cost estimates in oneserve (internal works management system)
  • Liaise with clients daily, submitting cost estimates and seeking approvals

Key skills:

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Able to work on own initiative and willing to involve others

Annual Salary: £22,500 to £24,000

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibility for the safe control of varied scope of fire protection works delivered across a range of occupied buildings.

Reporting to the Project Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Coordinate works in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage and supervise the delivery of works on site to meet programme and commercial constraints
  • Hold line management responsibility for the quality of outputs delivered by up to five trades persons, including evidence-based testing of installations
  • Liaise with a range of project stakeholders, ensuring all works are planned in advance and that all logistical arrangements for the supply of materials is well thought out and fully co-ordinated
  • Maintain close links with a team of project planners and ensure all works are co-ordinated through the company's CAFM system
  • Ensure records of works completed remain accurate and fully reflective of the technical requirements of project specifications

The role requires a team player with experience of delivering fire protection, refurbishment and/or building works safely, to a high standard and within budget.

Essential Skills:

  • Track record of site supervision/management
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel & outlook

Essential Qualifications:

  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
