Resident Liaison Officer (Grade 5)

Based at the site accommodation located around the North West Region, the Resident Liaison Officer will work as part of a project team tasked with completing fire protection works within multiple occupied housing blocks.

In conjunction with a predetermined programme of works, the Resident Liaison Officer will follow a predetermined access protocol that combines a need to distribute formal written communications with face to face discussions with customers in their homes. Part of this process will include a need to explain what our works entail and where necessary help customers prepare for the works. In addition, the Resident Liaison Officer will document a record of existing property condition in mitigation of future claims, record key measurements, visit customers during the works and ensure documented end of day checks are completed before leaving site each day.

Experienced working within multicultural neighbourhoods whilst accommodating the needs of vulnerable groups, the Resident Liaison Officer will fulfil a key role within the project team ensuring all access attempts are recorded on the Company’s CAFM system and that through the effective management of customer expectations, minimal inconvenience is caused.

Effective dealing with multiple iterations of a planning process, the Resident Liaison Officer will work within a small team of site managers, engineers, Contract Coordinators and client representatives undertaking a key role to facilitate an efficient works programme in a manner that achieves positive feedback and high customer satisfaction ratings.

We are currently looking for experienced fire stoppers to join our employment and help us deliver a number of long-term fire protection projects.

Job Description:

As a directly employed member of our team you will be required to install penetration sealing systems and cavity barriers in strict accordance with manufacturer assembly details.

Applicants should be able to manage their own diary, be punctual, polite and keen to work as part of a busy fire safety team. In addition, you will be required to follow established company policies and procedures, ensuring safety standards are satisfied and that quality control standards are maintained.

All works will be performed in occupied buildings including multi occupancy housing blocks, buildings of public amenity, health care facilities, education establishments, student accommodation blocks and security sensitive office buildings and workplaces (no new build sites).

Training on the company fire stopping procedures, health & safety and customer care will be provided but existing knowledge and a minimum of 2 years’ experience installing penetration sealing systems and cavity barriers within occupied buildings is essential.

Fire Stopper

Carrying out Fire Stopping works to riser cupboards, above cross corridor doors, ceiling lines and loft spaces within occupied social housing blocks, schools and public building, our fire stoppers will be required to deliver works to high standards, agreed specifications and standard details.

Working within strict standards of quality, cleanliness and overall process compliance, have significant experience of fire stopping works and be fully trained in effective site safety and asbestos awareness.

It is preferable for candidates to also have experience processing works orders and quality control documentation requests through use of tablet computers

Key Responsibilities within this role will be:

  • Installation of fire batt, mastic, and intumescent product, to manufacturers guidelines.
  • Always adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Working closely with labouring team

Passive Fire Protection Surveyor

Completing fire inspections and compartmentation surveys on a mixture of healthcare and educational premises.

 

  • Delivering reports and surveys
  • Understanding fire strategies
  • Liaising with residents and clients
  • Surveying and inspecting fire doors and frames

 

The role will suite

Team players with experience of delivering fire protection, refurbishment and/or building works safely, to a high standard on time and within budget.

Individuals with an interest in fire protection, willing to learn new technical skills through a programme of industry specific training.

Essential skills

  • FIRAS certification
  • Experience completing compartmentation surveys and fire inspections
  • Having knowledge of the fire protection installation process
  • Experience surveying fire doors and frames
  • Knowledge of Rockwool and Hilti Standard details

Fire Door Surveyor (Grade 5)

In the role of a Grade 5 Fire Door Surveyor, you will visit multiple building types comprising occupied housing blocks, care homes, public buildings, schools and universities to perform condition surveys on fire doorsets.

In the case of occupied housing blocks this will include flat entrance doors where you will be required to meet predetermined access protocols and customer care procedures when liaising with customers and gaining access to perform your surveys.

The surveys you perform will be collated through use of a smart phone application, where the condition of each component making up the fire doorset will be recorded against a series of prompts.

Evidence confirming the condition of each fire doorset will be recorded against each prompt through factual statements, measurements, and photographic records.

The surveys you perform will often require you to travel throughout the UK where you will co-ordinate your requirements for pre-paid accommodation with our back-office support team. Keeping in regular contact, you will be required to plan your route and requirements for overnight accommodation in advance.

To maintain records of outputs and client updates, you will work closely with a surveying team co-ordinator who will validate your findings and finalise reports before they are submitted to our clients.

The role will suite
