Based at our Leeds Head Office and reporting to the Commercial Director, you will support operational colleagues on commercial matters, agreeing cost estimates with clients, compiling payment applications and tracking progress against forecasts and budgets.

Working alongside our Certified Fire stopper you will assist them in general Fire stopping duties to riser cupboards, above cross corridor doors, ceiling lines and loft spaces within occupied social housing blocks, schools and public building, our fire stoppers will be required to deliver works to high standards, agreed specifications and standard details and you will be trained to understand this specification whilst assisting them in day to day duties.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting and assisting certified Fire stoppers
  • Installation of fire batt, mastic, and intumescent product, to manufacturers guidelines

  • Labouring for on site Fire stoppers and joiners

Job description - Estimator

Based at our Leeds Head Office and reporting to the Commercial Director, the Estimator will prepare robust time and cost estimates for new work enquiries.   

Enquiries will comprise a range high value, long term contracts/framework agreements and a series of one-off projects with individual contract values of c. £300K. All works enquires will comprise elements of fire protection including fire stopping, fire doors and active fire protection systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting systems and dampers).

In addition, the Estimator will:

  • Prepare priced response to a rolling pipeline of tender enquiries
  • Work with Operational and Commercial colleagues to help develop proposals
  • Keep detailed records of all enquiry documentation, including site assessments and contract terms
  • Balance multiple enquiries at once, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Keep systems used to manage and report pipeline progress up to date
  • Work within a well-established framework when analysing enquiries, identifying any potential risks and devising mitigation strategies
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients keeping a sales-minded attitude, extending to building relationships with existing and new clients

The successful applicant will hold:

  • A track record in a similar role on projects for clients operating within the public and third sector where first principles pricing structures have been applied 
  • Effective customer-facing skills and be able to self-manage workloads

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to strengthen our team and appoint a Procurement & Logistics Manager. 

Job Description: Procurement & Logistics Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Procurement and Logistics Manager will be responsible for the overall design and management of process linked to the supply of good and services.

Based at our Leeds Head Office, the Procurement & Logistics Manager will support operational delivery over a large geographical area resourced by a transient workforce of over 100 employees.

In addition, you will:

  • Foster strong relationships with a network of regionally based commodity suppliers required to support exacting material specifications within challenging lead times.
  • Play a central role in sourcing and maintaining a tools and equipment inventory and a fleet of commercial vehicles and company cars
  • Manage the Company’s facilities comprising its Leeds based head office facility and several temporary regional facilities operated under short term lease agreements.
  • Build and maintain a regionally based supply chain network required to support operational delivery in non-core services
  • Support the tendering process for new projects obtaining specification compliance on key commodities on competitive terms.    
  • Hold line management responsibility for other team members responsible for order placing, logistics and fleet management, storers management and stock control
  • Work closely with operational teams to understand procurement and logistic needs
  • Lead on all procurement and logistics activities, adding value to business compliance and profitability.

The successful applicant will be:

  • A commercially aware team player with experience in multi-disciplined contract / operational management
  • IT literate
  • An effective communicator at all levels 
  • Confident and able to lead by example, willing to delegate whilst support the ongoing development of others 
  • Proven effective managing teams

Renumeration:

  • Salary Range £44,000 to £48,000 / annum (dependant on experience)
  • Hours of work:
    • 07:30 - 17:30 (Mon to Thurs)
    • 07:30 - 16:30 (Fridays)
  • Holidays 29 days holiday per annum (including 8 statutory holiday days) rising by 1 day for each year of service up to a maximum 33 days / annum
